Troubleshooter (Modern Love)
Manchester based producer Troubleshooter, aka Rob Holloway, has been composing electronic music since the late 80's. The ex-Bitstream colloborater has a keen eye for detail; his music is developed from unique programming of all sounds including percussion from scratch with strictly no sampling of other artist’s music carried out. The finished result is a bass heavy cross between electro, electronica, experimental, IDM and in some cases hip-hop genres.
Rob was part of the original Bitstream lineup, playing on the 'Monolith' release in 1998 and on the 'The Monsters From Id' EP released in 1999. After going solo as Troubleshooter in 2000, he released the 6-track vinyl Ep1 on the Modern Love imprint in September 2003. Other Modern Love releases are the 6-track Disaster Recovery EP and a 10-track album of new material due later in 2005.
His tracks have been playlisted by the likes of John Peel, Skam's Rob Hall and Daz Quayle and following the success of his first EP, Rob has played live in many venues across the UK, including Manchester electronica nights Ilektro and Music is Better.
