Tim Wright (Novamute. Sativae)
The York based producer has been a heavyweight player of the electronic music scene for the last 10 years. Since his early studio sessions in 1993 he has released tracks under a number of aliases including Pin, Tube Jerk and Germ through respected imprints such as Sativae, PIAS offshoot iLL and most recently, Novamute. It's tricky to pin down a certain style to the music Tim produces. His unique approach to production skips through different flavours depending on the track, fusing sounds together that would seem incompatible to the amateur. His debut album Thirst, released this year on Novamute, covers genres as diverse as techno, punk, jazz and electro. A wizard in the studio, his bass heavy remixing skills are in hot demand and recently he has added his machine funk edge to tracks from the likes of Goldfrapp and Radioactive Man.
Tim has a busy gig schedule and has took his live sound all over the world. This year alone has seen Tim play live and showcasing tracks from his new album in countries such as Germany, Switzerland and Spain as well as most major cities throughout England and Scotland.
