Rob Hall (Skam)

Rob’s debut Dj set was with Autechre at Megatripolis, a weekly electronic night at Heaven, London in the summer of 1992. Since then, Rob has been at the forefront of the electronic music scene playing records as far afield as California, London, Reykjavick, Barcelona and Athens and often sharing the same billing as respected artists such as Jeff Mills, The Advent, Bjork and the Aphex Twin. In 2001 he provided Dj support for Autechre on their world tour for the Confield release, playing 40 shows in 7 weeks across the UK, Europe and the USA. In 2002 he was announced as the monthly resident Dj at Estatici in New York, a night run by the Satamile Records crew. He has played sets in famous and celebrated venues such as The Liquid Rooms in Tokyo.

He also finds the time in his busy schedule to work with the mysterious Manchester based Skam Records, a label responsible for launching the careers of top artists and producers such as Boards of Canada, Bola and Team Doyobi. As a key member of the Skam collective, in 2003 he was invited to co-ordinate and schedule over 30 hours of Skam music over two days at the ATP Festival 2003 at Camber Sands.
