DMX Krew (Rephlex, Breakin’, Gigolo)
Over the years, Ed has released five DMX Krew albums on the Rephlex label, spanning electro, pop and more experimental sounds... never following current trends and always forging his own musical direction. His most recent on the label was the ‘Collapse of the Wave Function’ mini-LP released in July 2004, an album based around the ‘Copenhagen Interpretation’ of quantum physics.
There have also been numerous singles including a cover of Kraftwerk classic ‘Showroom Dummies’ on DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolo label, DMX Krew releases on the Ersatz Audio imprint run by electro legends Adult, a handful of electro 12"s under various monikers such as Computor Rockers, which showcases a more overtly electro sound, as well as remixes for the likes of Cylob, Gentle People, Artists Unknown, LeCar and others.
Ed's other side project is called ‘MPC Trax’ released under the pseudonym EDMX which features dirty, stripped-down Detroit-style electrobass and ghetto sounds, satisfying the electro heads. The MPC Trax project has recently expanded to include tracks from Detroit producer Dj Nasty.
Ed has performed all around the world both as a Dj and as a live act, including taking part in a US tour with Rephlex in 2002, playing the WIRE99 festival in Japan in front of 8000 people and playing in many of the underground clubs and festivals across Eastern and Western Europe. A true globetrotter, he has played in NYC and his first dates in Australia.
