Ceephax Acid Crew (Breakin’, Lo)
Ceephax Acid Crew is the revered moniker of Andy Jenkinson, younger brother of the mighty Squarepusher, Tom Jenkinson. Andy released his first record when he was 18 on Ed DMX’s Breakin’ Records after Ed checked out one of his early live sets and signed him up to the label. Since then, he has since gone on to release his music through Breakin’ and also the the Firstcask and Lo Recordings imprints. Both the more famous Rephlex and Warp Records have gone on to release remixes of Squarepusher by Ceephax, twisted and mangled in his typical style and finishing up sounding nothing like the originals! Although his early acid releases made full use of vintage Roland gear, these days Ceephax makes his tunes on various retro music-creating beasts and takes his twisted, analogue heavy live show all over the UK and throughout Europe, playing gigs in Belgium, Ireland and Spain.
